$2.75 Million Settlement after liability verdict for left hand trauma, concussion and post-concussion syndrome in this complex motorcycle accident case where defendant’s insurance carrier took a no-pay position during the liability phase of trial.

$1.1 Million Jury Verdict.  Believed to be the largest verdict in New York State to date for a strictly TMJ injury. In this single car motor vehicle accident case Defendant’s insurance carrier never offered more than $12,500 in settlement discussions prior to verdict.  The case was settled for post-verdict for $825,000.

$3 Million Jury Verdict for an NYPD Dog Trainer without any training in bomb disarmament techniques or the use of special equipment sustained various physical and psychological injuries when a bomb he was asked to assist in disarming exploded.  Plaintiff consented to a reduction in damages to $1.5 Million[3]

[2] The Court of Appeals subsequently affirmed a lower appellate court’s ruling that the City could not be held liable under the facts of the case.

[3]  The Appellate Division subsequently reversed the Trial Court’s decision to deny a motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict and dismissed plaintiff’s complaint.

[4]  Subsequently settled while on appeal for $631,087.74
